On February 19th, Senator Pat Roberts, Chair of the Agriculture Committee, introduced a new bill to take away your rights – it’s the DARK Act on steroids. The bill would preempt Vermont’s and all other state mandatory GMO labeling laws forever and put voluntary labeling under the jurisdiction of the USDA.

The USDA would likely allow foods created with a new and controversial genetic engineering technique, Gene Editing, to be labeled Non-GMO. With Vermont’s mandatory labeling law set to take effect on July 1st, Monsanto and Big Food are in a panic and their government puppets are not wasting any time. Senator Roberts and Senator Debbie Stabenow are cutting a deal and the bill is scheduled to be voted on in committee on Tuesday, March 01, 2016.

It is CRITICAL that you, your friends and family contact your Senators: Ask them to protect States’ Rights and reject Senator Roberts’ bill, which would permanently keep Americans in the dark about whether our food has been created with genetic engineering. We must fight to keep democracy alive. Please make your voice heard.
