GMO FREE USA ON THE ROAD AGAIN WITH NEIL YOUNG
“Hands in the soil will outgrow Monsanto.” – Neil Young
On the heels of a successful July tour, GMO Free USA will again be joining Neil Young + Promise of the Real for their October #RebelContentTour promoting the new studio album, The Monsanto Years. The tour kicks off October 1st in Missoula, Montana, and wraps October 17th in Berkeley, California.
“The Monsanto Years are here and we are living them. Monsanto is the poster-child for what is wrong with corporate controlled government in our world. Our upcoming record, The Monsanto Years, encompasses several associated subjects that millions of people worldwide are concerned about and active in. Earth is not ours. We are of the Earth. That’s how I feel. When we plunder our own home we hurt our children and their children after them. I feel responsible.” – Neil Young.

About the Activist Village
The Activist Village is a coalition of leading organizations tackling today’s greatest challenges through education, legislation, and news delivery. The village will be active from approximately 6PM until Neil’s performance begins, normally 9PM. The issue areas and organizations representing each issue are:
GMOs: GMO Free USA
Earth Ecology: Center for Biological Diversity
Energy & Climate: Center for Biological Diversity
Freedom & Justice: Move to Amend
Future of Farming: TCG (formerly The California Grange)
News You Can Trust: Earth Island Journal
During our tour with Neil Young for The Monsanto Years, we will be educating concertgoers about the unhealthy control of our agricultural system by amoral corporations, what people can do to help achieve a more equitable food system, and raising awareness about the need for mandatory GMO labeling. We will be galvanizing action against the undemocratic DARK Act and the TPP. We will be growing our Boycott Kellogg’s GMOs campaign. And we have invited and will be helping local partner organizations pursue their initiatives. Food Transparency and Food Justice for all.
